You may have heard of Marjorie Sarnat, the artist who created Elegant Elephants Adult Coloring Book, but have you ever wondered about her background? Marjorie McCormack studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she majored in painting and drawing. She later went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University and teaching credentials. She taught art to teens and adults in Chicago.
Known for her fanciful coloring books for adults and children, Marjorie Sarnat is the author of Dover’s popular Creative Cats Coloring Book. Her mixed-media style has been influenced by her love of pattern. Previously, she was a textile designer, which has influenced her fanciful coloring books. The book features 30 portraits of cats with many different motifs. The book is a fun way to relieve stress and unwind.
